Komorowski, E. A. Night Never Ending Paperback 1975, Futura
Condition: very good
On September 19, 1939, a Polish General was murdered by an officer in the Russian army. The cream of the Polish officer corps was then arrested and brutally interrogated. On April 28, 1940, they were marched to what they believed would be freedom. But instead they were shipped to the Katyn Forest, where they were shot, along with 15,000 other Polish soldiers. Incredibly, one man survived. Eugenjusz Andrei Komorowski dragged himself from the mass grave and began a four-month journey across two-thirds of Europe, until at last, severely wounded, suffering from amnesia, he reached Switzerland. This is his story, a tale of incredible heroism and unrelenting horror, told now for the first time after thirty years of silence. Price:
